Recovery from the economic crisis is swifter in Central Eastern Europe than in Western Europe as the World Bank now reports. Economic growth for the 1st quarter 2010 was on average 0,8 % for Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Sovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovenia and the Baltic States.

The Slovak Statistics Office ŠÚSR reports a further dynamic growth of the Slovak industry for May. According to the Office the industrial production rose by 31.4% over the same month a year ago. The processing industry rose by 36.5%, the production of gas, electricity and heat by a strong 13.4%.
