Leading Austrian logistics company expands to Slovakia
A Slovak branch will be founded and a country manager appointed upon identification by weastra’s recruiting services. This strategic decision was reached by the management of the Austrian logistic company following weastra‘s presentation of the findings of the Slovak transport market analysis. The analysis therefore turned out to be the cornerstone of a longer cooperation with weastra. As an important first step the study results enabled the client to evaluate the specific opportunities, which the Slovak logistic market has to offer - and consequently - under which circumstances and with which concrete steps a market entry to the neighbouring country should be tempted. The weastra sector analysis was therefore key in reaching a decision about the „if“ and „how“ to start a new business venture in the CEE region. Weastra sees it as a sign of trust in its local CEE expertise and looks forward to accompany its client during its first steps on the Slovak market. About the sector analysis: Besides a brief overview of the Slovak business context the analysis provides detailed insights on the Slovak transport market according to air, rail, road and river transportation and looks into various sectors such as freight forwarding, container market; it names current operators and potential customers while also outlining the legal prerequisites of becoming a transport player in Slovakia.
