Results of parliamentary elections in Poland

Civic Platform and Prime Minister Donald Tusk became the first Polish party and the first Polish leader to have been re-elected since the fall of communism in 1989.

The total amount of votes which the centre-right Civic Platform received was 39%, comparing to 30% of votes received by its challenger, the Law and Justice Party.

During the last 4 years of Mr. Donald Tusk’s presiding Poland has experienced strong economic growth  being the only EU member state who avoided recession after the crisis in 2008.

This year’s economy forecast includes a 4% GDP growth, lower unemployment rate and higher average monthly wages.
