Market analysis and entry process consulting for a leading Swiss company in recycling and demolition

In view of its market entry project to the Slovak market weastra conducted an extensive market analysis within the Slovak waste management field for its major Swiss client. In order to develop the entry strategy for the most promising segments the in-depth study analysed various waste categories (domestic waste, secondary raw materials, dangerous waste, etc.). As a result, a competitive study including country-specific mechanisms, market development and future trends, identification of key players, and recommendations for the market entry were developed. Based on the evidence of the analysis the second phase of the project foresees the ample support of the client throughout the entire market entry process – design and implementation of the business plan including the creation of the company’s legal entity in Slovakia, negotiation with local townships, and the identification of the most suitable site for the centre. The projects takes place in an emerging sector that currently receives a great amount of attention from the Slovak government and the EU.
